New Zealand: Under close coordination with Rabobank NZ, Mr. Khuy Maikol, Head of the Cambodian Trade Representative Office in New Zealand, and Dr. Vijay Kumar, representative of the University of Waikato: On March 17, 2026, Dr. Kao Thach, Government Delegate in charge as Director General of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), led colleagues on a direct study visit to three dairy cattle farms in Hamilton, New Zealand.
The main objectives of this mission are:
1- Study of targeted credit: To examine and learn about Rabobank’s credit provision mechanism to customers at the three above-mentioned dairy cattle farms to ensure effective use of funds and sustainable development.
2- Modern agricultural techniques for dairy cattle farming: This study visit aims to examine and extract experiences on the production chain and management of dairy cattle farms with high standards and modern characteristics to serve as a model for developing the dairy cattle farming sector in Cambodia.
Please note that this mission is part of the strategy to strengthen institutional capacity and to extract good experiences in credit provision and risk management from abroad to apply and support customers in the agricultural and dairy cattle farming sectors in Cambodia to become more efficient.
