On 14 March 2025, at the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Preah Vihear Province, the Board of Directors of the Preah Meanchey Union of Agricultural Cooperative (PMUAC), under the coordination of Mr. Poeung Tryda, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Preah Vihear Province, and Mr. Song Saran, CEO of Amru Rice, led a consultation meeting on cooperation, production plans for 2025, and the responsibilities of each party.
The meeting discussed the production plan 2025 in accordance with European and American organic standards, adding new standards for some ACs for Germany and the ROC (Regenerative Organic Certified) standard for existing ACs. Amru Rice also received a request from the Director of the Department to support an additional 8 ACs supported by PMUAC. In addition, the meeting also discussed the responsibilities of each party and reached an agreement on long-term business partnership cooperation.
For the 2025 plan, Amru Rice plans to purchase paddy rice from the ACs in Preah Vihear Province for total about 20,000 tons.
Amru Rice acts as a miller, processor, and exporter of finished products, and PMUAC acts as a producer, supplier, and manager of the production chain, including cultivation techniques, inputs, financing, and internal control systems so that the products produced meet the needs of the export market.
