Kao Thach, Delegate of Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as Chief Executive Officer of Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), speaks to farmers and traders during a meeting in Phnom Penh, yesterday.
Kao Thach told “The Royal Government of Cambodia always pays high attention to the livelihood of its people. In fact, it has successively launched special financing programmes in the past to purchase rice and other agricultural products from farmers during the annual harvest season.”
Regarding cassava and red corn, he urged traders to continue collecting these crops from farmers, while confirming that ARDB will continue to provide credit support.
Taking the opportunity, Thach also encour-aged all stakeholders to use the national currency, the riel, when buying and selling agricultural products in their local areas to help reduce exchange rate risks.
