New Zealand: On March 16, 2026, during an official working visit to New Zealand, Dr. Kau Thach, Government Delegate and Governor of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), was invited to meet and discuss work and exchange experiences with representatives of Rabobank, facilitated by Mr. Khuy Maikol, Head of the Cambodian Trade Representative Office in New Zealand.
In this important discussion meeting, both parties deeply exchanged experiences regarding their work as agricultural development banks, focusing on key points including:
1- Experience Sharing: Management of banking institutions, credit policies, and strategies for direct engagement with farmers as specialized banks developing the agricultural sector.
2- Study Visit Invitation: As a starting point for a better relationship, His Excellency Dr. Kau Thach respectfully invited Rabobank representatives to conduct a study visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia to directly explore the potential of the agricultural sector and the financial environment in Cambodia.
3- Initiation of Cooperation (MoU): On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Kau Thach also raised a proposal to initiate the establishment of official cooperation through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future to promote information sharing, technical exchange, and strengthen cooperation between the two banks to become stronger and more sustainable.
Please be informed that this discussion meeting is a positive sign of bringing international-level financial experience and techniques to help promote productivity and modernization of the agricultural sector in Cambodia.
