Signing Ceremony of Collaboration between Chip Mong Bank and Amru Rice on “Strategic Financing Partnership to Boost Rice Production in Cambodia”

On 24 June 2025, Amru Rice and Cambodia Agricultural Community Corporation (CACC) were honored to sign a collaboration with Chip Mong Bank on “Strategic Financing Partnership to Boost Rice Production in Cambodia” with the aim of supporting Agricultural Cooperatives (ACs) and farmers supplying paddy rice to Amru Rice and CACC to access financing with reasonable interest rates and flexibility to increase productivity and address capital shortages that meet their operational needs.
The signing ceremony of the collaboration was signed by Neak Oknha Leang Meng, co-founder and chairman of Chip Mong Group, and Oknha Song Saran, CEO of Amru Rice, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Mey Kalyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CACC, Oknha Chan Sokheang, President of the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), Mr. Poeung Tryda, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Preah Vihear Province, management and staffs of Amru Rice and the CACC Board of Directors, representatives of development partners and ACs partners of Amru Rice and CACC, a total of approximately 70 people.
This collaboration is not only aimed at supporting access to financial services for ACs, but also a strong commitment to building a resilient rice sector and increasing agricultural productivity. Based on the strong relationship and experience of collaboration between Amru Rice, CACC and thousands household of ACs across Cambodia, and Chip Mong Bank’s financial expertise,
it can not only reduce the shared risks and create a safer environment for agricultural lending, but also actively promote the adoption and modernization of technology by investing in modern agricultural equipment, efficient irrigation systems and high-quality seeds to increase yields, operational efficiency, reduce labor costs and increase the overall competitiveness of Cambodian rice production in the global market.
With over 15 years of experience, Amru Rice has worked with approximately 20,000 smallholder farmers, 55% of whom are women and 1,500 indigenous people. The company has also played a major role in leading sustainability projects such as climate-resilient agriculture, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and developing remote communities, in collaboration with the government, development partners, and farming communities across the country.
