Preasvihea province:H.E Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in charge as the C.E.O. of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB) on March 12nd, 2025 inspected the selling prices and the collection of cashew nut in the associations and farms in Chey commune, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province, and in Romtom commune, Rovieng district, Preah Vihear province.
On this occasion , H.E Dr. Kao Thach went to cashew nuts ‘s drying storages and directly met with Mr. Silot Uon , President of the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) , Mrs. In Lai Huot, owner of the Chey Sambor cashew nut processing cottage industry, and farmers.
The reason of this meetings was to follow up lower cashew nuts’ prices in March 2025 and the activities of buying from factories and also local brokers.
Mr. Silot Uon , President of the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) , Mrs. In Lai Huot, owner of the Chey Sambor cashew nut processing cottage industry said that lower prices of farmers’ cashew nut costed 4600R per kilogram, starting from March 4-6, 2025.
According to the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia confirmed that on March 7, 2025 the price of cashew nut is between 5200R to 5300R per kilogram and in the nearly future it will costs 6000R, if the market was as good as in February and the famers will get benefits.
